Another Petco Albino

So I was in Petco today to buy more crickets and I couldn't help but look in the leo cage. Well, I more than looked, actually. ;-)

After I got my crickets, I asked the girl if they had any albinos. She wasn't sure so we had to let me have a look at them. The worker opens up the viv and picks up one of the hides and I couldn't believe my eyes...I saw Leela's reincarnation! Well, not really, but she's pretty darn close! She has the same jungle-look of Leela. Her eyes are lighter--that's no real problem, though, cuz they're badass! She's a lot healthier looking than my poor original Leela and she's spunky! She hiss/growled at the worker (or now that I think more about it, she might have been hissing at the leo walking on her) and stayed crammed in a corner for a while. Yeah, yeah, so she seems moody, but who doesn't get pissed every once in a while? I mean, if I was in a cage with too many other guys on substrate that I could choke on, I'd be pissed, too! Anyway, she's home now with me and I couldn't be happier! :yahoo:

Haha, I will after work tomorrow--I don't wanna stress her out any more than what she's already been through today!;-)

Wow! Thats awsome! If i had more reptile shops near by I'd probably be like that, lol! The ones that are close only really have norms and the shop I got mine at is 40 miles away and through a toll! :( Boo hoo! Wish we had a big shop like petco here in the UK :(

I also hope to get two more in a couple of weeks....then the eggs, in my incubator, should finally hatch! And I have ordered two other baby's from a breeder as well. Oh my, it's getting crowded in my house!

Ahaha, I know exactly what you mean! I went crazy the first year I got tattoos--I've slowed down a bit now, though. I still gotta get my ink fixes; I just put more thought into them these days. I go in for a new one or an addition to a current one about every 6 mos. to a year. ;-)

With geckos, it all started with a little house gecko a coworker found in the building last December. I enjoyed him so much that I got curious about what else was out there. On a visit to the pet store for more crickets I spotted the leo tank and I was hooked! Then I found out you could order them online! Aaaaaaaa! :yahoo:

She's still a bit skiddish about coming out. I'm kinda surprised since she seemed so spunky at first! I hope she's not depressed and hates her new home. I'll just chalk it up to the whole "settling in" syndrome.

Anyway, here's her cute little mug for your viewing pleasure! :)

Thanks, guys! I can't wait to see how she'll turn out!

And thanks for the photography compliment, Phoenix. Sometimes I get lucky with the camera, I guess. ;-)
