Just a couple of pics of my CVV...

I just wanted to share a few pics of my Coleonyx variegatus variegatus that I caught on my last trip to the US. All I can say about those geckos is that it was love at first glance!

They are from Eagle Eye Road, La Paz County, Arizona.

And, yes, I know the light is a bit messed up but my flash didn't really want to do as I wanted so this is what I got... Hopefully I'll get some better pics later on.

Enjoy!

I <3 CVV's

I want some of these so badly I can't see straight!! I've looked and looked online for some for sale all in vain. I'm seriously considering going on a "CVV Hunting Roadtrip." Seriously.:banana:

I know what you mean... but at least you can go on a road cruise to get some. On this side of the pond they are next to impossible to find, and the only species you can find now and then is the Central American Banded Gecko.

My big passion is Rosy Boas and it was on a trip to find them I found my Geckos - so now I have two passions!

How much of a hassle was it to get them back to Sweden? I suggest you spray them with an anti-mite, that white stuff on their skin could possibly spread to other species. I have had it spread from wild to captive bandeds, so its best to be cautious.

That stuff you see is nothing other than grains of sand that reflects in the flash. I've had the pictures come out that way many times when the flash isn't cooperating with me. I've had my share of mite trouble before so I always take precautions with new animals.

There was no hassle at all getting them here. I had my AZ licence and here I have my licence to import animals, so it all went as smooth as I expected.

Well, I guess when you put it that way, I shouldn't be so whiny, but still...I think I've just been spoiled with all the leos that are available online!

Rosy Boas, eh? I'm more of a gecko girl but lemme see...I just googled 'em...hmm...docile and small...sounds good! Got any pics?

I've got tons of pics, but since this is a Gecko Forum I'll stick to posting geckos here.

Maybe I can e-mail you a few?
