I keep them too, and have never seen them like that. I figured the reason might be that it is sitting on light colored wood. Often geckos seem to modify their coloring to fit what they are sitting on - like camouflage. Just never saw that in any Rhcaodactylus....but then again I suppose I always used dark brown braches and compressed or natural cork for furnishing.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. He is usually more green/grey/white but sometimes he gets really light and pastel colored.
