Good gecko/lizard match?

I am looking for a species that matches this description, or is close.

-is ok without UVB

-is fine with temperatures 68-85 degrees(it is easier to keep things warm than cool, and with the tank well ventilated 82 is plenty possible).

-does not get huge(nothing over 10 inches TL). I think 3-7 inches TL would be excellent.(with a preference towards the smaller side)

-46 gallon tank ok for it

-Not costing major $

-I know this and no. 1 kinda cancel out but something that is easy to see is preferred, even if nocturnal.

-interesting.(eye of beholder!)

-bred successfully in captivity

-Prefers a tropical rainforest type environment.

Thanks!

You don't think 85 is high for crested geckos?

Any other ideas would be great!

what about Gekko vittatus?

ok, here are some species I've looked up that seem to match my requirements.

-L. lugubris(of course :) )
-Rhacodactylus ciliatus and auriculatus
-Ptychozoon kuhli(beautiful geckos, but I don't see any CB and WC seem risky esp. for a beginner)
-G. vittatus(beautiful pattern, supposedly quite active and love it humid and warm)
-sphaerodactylus sp.
-Cryodactylus sp.
-small rainforest skink species.

What about a tokay? Not the most friendly of critters. But they're beautiful animals, inexpensive, meet your heat requirements, can often be found CB, and very easy to keep. G. vittatus are cool too. But you're likely to have a harder time finding CB's.

kuhli would be perfect for that set up. Also maybe Gekko ulikovskii would work great.

I've got a 2 year old LTC female kuhli and a 6 month old CB ulikovskii available..... PM me

Regalreptiles: I understand tokays get pretty big. Yes, I was considering them, but I think a 46 gal keeping them as a naturalistic setup would be a bit tight.

chevyrumble: Didn't consider ulikovskii. Aren't skunks the smallest of the three we've mentioned? I think someone on here has some CB ones.

WC is ok as long as they are not too hard to treat.

I really like flying geckos but hear they are quite secretive, and that WC's tend not to do well.

They seem pretty rare, and get big, but I must say turnip tail geckos are cool. Thecadactylus rapicauda

I don't think skunks are the smallest mentioned, I'm pretty confident I've seen several over 10 inches for sale. Kuhlis are probably the smallest, right guys?

Smallest of the Gekko. At least is what it appears based upon their slim build compared to the average build goldens and the stocky Tokays.

Well good luck, I'd go with kuhli as I regret not getting a group yet. But hey! I got bigger geckos to buy (R. leachianus and R. Chahoua).

ulikovskii are around 8" TL, and do well, pretty mellow, I can handle my adults. Kuhli are secretive, but they are very very cool geckos, my lone female is very well established and doing great

Here is a photo(needs updating) of the tank just for an idea. Of course, I can change it to meet the needs of any animal better. The main thing I will do to it is drill the glass and add a fan to ventilate the tank(currently allglass lid) in hopes over removing condensation.

How easy is it to observe activity from Ptychozoon? I'm guessing they are strictly nocturnal?
