You will have to modify the tops by first removing the glass.....etc. If it was me, after all things considered (expense, time, materials, possible injury, aesthetic looks) in that kind of project, I would go with the 24" Zoomed or Exo Terra enclosures.

Uva/uvb is suppose to help in calcium absorption I believe, but a word of warning!

Too much will give your gecko a sunburn, even thought they dont have enough sense to get out of the light. I believe a few hours a week for nocturnal geckos is the acceptable "dosage"
