So, baby mac is my personal favorite of all my babies. I know you shouldnt play favorites with your kids but I confess I'm addicted to baby Mac.... My first Male gecko. I have NO CLUE what morph he is.. but if you do, please tell me... I cant remember who, but one of you guys told me Normal or High yellow, lavender phase..... tell me if you know.

I have 2 other questions about him too...
1 - is his tail, unusually long?
2 - is there enough carrot tail for him to be considered a carrot tail.

Here is his growth chart....
Okay, winner gets kudos!

I would call him a high yellow, namely, a normal with fewer spots than the wild type. His tail is nice and long but not grotesquely so. For him to be a carrot tail he needs to have solid orange on at least the bottom 30% of his tail, so I don't think he's there. He's a very cute and active gecko.

Thanks - he's my favorite - He's recently taken up a strange habit of trying to "leap" like a frog... from the ground he just hops... weird... weird weird... if I come into the leo lounge and dont pick him up first he'll jump against the glass! Yes, he's very spoiled!

Thanks, in comparasson to my other leos his tail is atleast 1 inch longer than all of theirs.. I knew he was special *LOL* (maybe short bus special, but special none the less!)

No, Baby Mac was my 2nd leo purchase, my first one was Princess Habiba.. however, she's a normal too. I happened upon her in a pet store all alone she looked so stressed and I had never had a leo before in fact I personally had never owned a lizard before and was quite frightened of them (my mother had anoles on her back porch - HUNDREDS of them and they would swarm around her when she would go out side.. I was always afraid of them, she on the other hand would make foods and try and feed them, they would crawl on her and I would get the heebie jeebies!)
Mac, was my first male. I called him Mac because if you see in his earlier pics right on the tip of his nose he had a perfect macentosh apple, then ofcourse he was put in a cage with 4 ladies and was always "mack'n on them" so he just kept the name even when the spot turned into something besides an apple!

Thanks Nate!
I believe it may have been you that told me he was a high yellow before - but I'm old and forget alot *LOL*
Anywho.... I am guessing he is 8mths to 9mths total.... at the very most!
I got him Feb 22nd, and he was about a month old, maybe 2mths.
He was purchased from J.P. Pets in Florida, my friend was going to get into breeding them but decided not to, and sold them to me. When I asked her where she got him from she told me and well... they are a mass import/exporter and I wont buy anything else from them...
They all get tossed into a huge container - they ship like a BJ's Warehouse/Sams Club for Reptiles.... it sickens me!
