Hi everyone I just wanted to know some good substrates for miliis. Also is paper towel ok for them or not? Ty

pure sand works as well but I would not use any fine and loose sand. With some parts of clay, the sand you fill in wet will be hard after drying and make a very good substrate.

I use playsand/peat mix. Keep one side moist.
