crusty food

i have been using hat trex food for crested geckos and every thing i have read says people leave it in there another night but mine gets all crusty in one day

Either two things:

1. not enough water in the mixture
2. not filling a deep enough portion of the dish (obviously it will dry out quickly if it's only a thin layer)

With that said, it may have been me who you read did that and I'd like to say that I switched back to just feeding it fresh every other night.

it was a thin dish i got a thicker but smaller dish now and it is still moist
