:DHi, I am looking around for different enclosure sizes and types for a juvenile leachie or an adult. I was looking at screen cages and was wondering if many people use screen cages for their own leachies. The dimensions I'm looking at are 24x24x36 and 24x24x48. I plan to obtain some hatchling leachies in the near future and I will be keeping them in krittier keepers. I just want to know what to be getting when they get bigger. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We keep our Leachies different.
Our almost full grown female we keep in a glass viv from 80 cm x 45 cm x 80 cm (L X D X H).
The other two aren't full grown (just one year old) so we just keep them in critter keepers (the biggers size).
We found out that our Leachies do much better in smaller enclosures.
We never kept them in screen cages en we acctually don't know anyone who does.......

:DThanks for the quick reply. How about the dimension sizes that I listed. would the 24x24x36 be a better solution over the other which is 24x24x48? and I also like the cages on Herpcages.com. They arn't screen which I think would be better for holding humidity better. :)

Your welcome!
If they sizes are in Cm they are okay for juvies, but if they are in inch they are rather big....
Glass hold humidity better, but you must be carefull the viv doesn't get to wet!
There was someone on Repashy who had a Leachies who slept in wet substrate and her skin went bad and she died......

1 inch is 2,5 cm.......

:)Thanks, so how is it like to handle your leachies? Are they active at first when handling and then calm down or are they like crested geckos who move around all the time. I like how chunky they get lol:D

They are very slow, at least ours are. But if they want to go away they can be pretty quick... :)
And if they don't like it anymore they will whistle.

I used to house all my Rhacs in screen cages, but the humidity was to hard to keep up, and there feet got less sticky and couldn't climb very well. I ended up moving them all into glass cages.
