I have a 7 mth old that has already laid 3 eggs and has 2 in her tummy now!
If she has been exposed to a male - she could be pregnant...but the dark circles are scary.... can you take her to a vet?

Aww, I'm so sorry! It sounds like either impaction or crypto to me. I would also suggest taking her to the vet.

Youre so positive it's going to "kick the bucket" why dont you put it out of its misery now then? I mean I dont mean to be a smart ass or even come across as ugly.. but you've mentioned how you just know it's going to die in 1 week or 2 weeks in both of your responses.... Call a vet if you cant get into see one, or try giving her a nice warm bath and soaking her in warmed pedialite or gatoraide... keep her as hydrated as you can... offer mealies, offer butter worms offer something besides crickets... make sure her tank has a nice warm side with a nice dark warm hide... try those things before you just give up on her... good luck

ill keep trying and i dont have the kind of money for a vet visit and i thought mealies are bad unless they are dead

mealies are fine for leos... dont offer big fat ones, especially if your wee one is a baby...
many breeders use mealies only for feeding leos.. I use them 50/50 with crickets.. and offer butter worms once a mth as a treat (since they are 6.00 for 25) and I have 30 + leos with wide open mouths when it comes to butter worms

if shes on sand she could prob be impacted. i saw a pic of a baby leo, i think it was a baby, it was so skiny, but the pic showed that the vet cut open the dead leo and it showed what impaction looked like, it looked deep black, and kind of like a mix of rock and sand. the book was Reptile Medicine and Murgery by douglas R. Mader.

that is an excellent book. highly recommended to any reptile owner. its like the bible of reptile medicine. but thats right, if she is on sand, and you are seeing sand in her feces, it is likely impaction. i know there are a few home remedies that i do not know the specifics of, so i will not try to list any to avoid passing along bad information. maybe someone else with more experience can recommend something. i do however recommend a vet visit if you can do it (to a vet who knows what they are doing). obviously you care about this leo or you would not be posting on here trying to get help for her. if you are so sure she is going to die, i would suggest putting her to sleep peacefully. either choice involves a vet, so that is my 2 cents.

It is probably a sand impaction. It also sounds like it is too late to save her, but if you think she will make it you can feed her blended mealworms and fruit baby food.

You should take her to a vet for a dissection. That way, they can find out what happened, and you can change anything to prevent it from happening to your other leos. :)

I'm sorry...

I am sorry, but show some more compassion. My brother got his first gecko and the little guy wasn't quite right from the start. Little guy died later that week... I cried just as much as he did, and the little one wasn't even mine. Just saying, show some more care.

Fickle, I am so sorry... Like I said, I know what it is like to lose one.
