New here, looking for tips and advice on my new golden!

hey i just got a golden two nights ago and he's all settled in in his new home, i have him set up in a 10 gal with coconut husk substrate, a nice little hollow log hide thats cut out to fit in the corner of the tank he has one of those bendy plastic branches and i have a fake plant in there. if he didnt love to perch on the thermometer i could tell you what the current temp is.... lol but i would guess its about 80-85 and thats in the cooler side, humidity is about 75, but it was 85 earlier. hes got a small water rock thingy and thats about it on the inside, he has a heating pad and a light on the hot side. does this all sound good to you guys?

update: i went out and when i came back, he was sunbathing on the substrate (he spends <5% on the ground) on the warm side and he slowly made his way over back to his favorite perch on top of the thermometer lol (which is also out of the light) the fact that he's moving around (from hot to cold) is a good sign right? now if i can get him to eat something tonight....
