Ok I'm thinking about getting a beardie I've done my research on lighting, diet, behaviour, etc. My question is do they do better alone or with a buddy? Also how big of a tank is big enough, everyone says something different. I've heard a 20 gallon long, a 40 gallon, 30 gallon but what is absolute minimum? I work at home so it will get out of it's cage often.Any advice? Thanks!

I have one beardie in addition to my many leos and some other geckos. My understanding is that they do better alone (and given the amount they eat, I recommend having only one). My beardie is 5 years old. I adopted her about 15 months ago. She's about 17" long and as of this morning is a whopping 575 grams! I have her in the cage I adopted her in which is 36"x18"x16"high. I checked the standard sizes but nothing matched exactly. I would say that she is in the smallest enclosure that would be comfortable for an adult. It's probably somewhere between a 40 and a 55 gallon.
