Male or Female Albino?

Does anyone have any suggestions whether a male or female albino fat tail would make a better pet? Are there any differences in personality, color patterns, etc? I may have an opportunity to choose from 2 and was wondering if there is anything about either gender I should keep in mind when making the decision.

Well, there is a male and female available, and they are both the same price from the same person. I'm not sure if I will get either one of them, I was just trying to find out if there were differences between males and females that I wasn't aware of that might influence my decision.

Both make good pets. Males get slightly larger. Get the male if you have any interest in breeding. FT males are always in short supply.

Great! That's what I was leaning towards. I thought that if I did ever want to breed, the male amel would be good to have. Thanks!!

I'd get the male. Males are generally more easy to take care of, as they don't develop infertile eggs, they won't need tons of calcium in the breeding season, etc.

@Chadosborne; were do you live??? Cause, I wanna move over!!!:biggrin: I have a big, lonelly, male that is desperate for a female of his own age! (I have one juvie female) But I can't find a female here... Only couples, or individual males:?
It's really frustrating, cause I've been searching now for a couple of months.

Don't forget that if you want one that will make a good pet, go for the more friendly one.

Weird, I'm in WA state, and have had three males, and only one female!! I thought females were harder to find!
For the record, all my males have been sweeties, and my female is skittish and will scream at me if I startle her. And she's been handled gently ever since I have had her, same as the boys!
