Blind Leopard Gecko-Any Advice?

So the male I rescued 2 weeks ago has gone blind. He only had 1 eye when I got him but his good eye has developed a film on it and I think he has lost his sight. He shed today and I noticed it when he opened his good eye, which he hasn't done in days. I figured he was just sensitive to the light when I had it on. It has kind of a white film like cataracts. I don't think he scratched it as there is nothing in his tank to scratch it on. I have a vet appointment on monday at 10:40 am for him so I hope they can help. Has anybody ever experienced this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

p.s. I can't take pics as I don't want to irritate his eye anymore.

I have not personally cared for a blind gecko, but some people on another forum have posted about it. It seems that a combination of hand feeding and keeping the mealworm bowl in the same place will often make it possible for the gecko to eat. One person, I recall, posted that their blind gecko had reached 100 grams!
