Hi everyone, I just wanted to drop in and say hi. I know it's been a while since I was around - alot has been going on.
We registered "NC Exotic Rescue" with the government and are currently waiting on our 501c permit.
We have a total of 7 snakes now - all ball pythons - one has a severe neurological issue - but is sweet as pie!
We had to move, the house we were renting had NO central heat or air - we had to keep floor heaters on in the reptile room all the time, unfortunately the house was so old it couldnt handle all of the wattage being sent to that room we came home from work one day and for 6 hours the reptile room had no heat the room temp was 62 degrees some of their cages were as low as 59 degrees! It was horrible!!! I had 6 SHTCT eggs in the incubator and all of them perished! Two leos caught R.I's and we lost our sweet Cameleon Mojo! It was a horrifying day in the rescue....
but now we have a nice little house nestled in the center of 40 acres of land locked land! We ended up giving the master bedroom to the reptiles - there are far more of them than they are of us anyway *LOL*
We are picking up a 6 foot Iguana tonight, our savannah is still spoiled rotton! He can now come out of his cage and roam the halls when we let him... He loves the extra space he has.....We also took in a doberman puppy (1.5 years) that is sweet as pie! Our little rescue is doing much better now!
I took down our myspace page - and am currently working on an official website! I'll let you guys know once it is up and running!
If photobucket was not being a turkey today I would show you guys some of our recent pics... i guess it will just have to wait for another day!
