My gecko and bamboo?

Hiya guys, i recently got my first phelsuma, a male standingi. I set up his tank with bamboo ect in it. However, whenever I mist the tank, he loses grip on the bamboo, and he slips. Does anyone know why this happens, and does it happen to any of you guys?

he may be going into shed? its hard to tell for sure. If it continues to be a problem i would switch to another type of branching that has more bark to it, but day geckos are usually completely fine on bamboo

Ok, Ill leave him for a while and see if he sheds or the problem goes away.
