Plants for in AFT tank?

I was thinking about adding plants into my AFTs enclosure and was wondering what kind of plants are ok to put in with them. Right now I am using reptibark as the substrate and there is no lid on the top of the cage. Also I want something that is easy to care for and not going to die if I forget to water it everyday.
Would I have to change his substrate and if so what to?
How do you clean the tank if you actually plant them?

And I was thinking of getting a waterfall to put in. Would it be better on the warmer side or the cooler side?

Thank you:)

pothos is the best plant as it is hardy and doesnt need to much light, but you should water it once a week.

many succulents work well, just make sure you dont put in anything with spikes or needles, no matter how small the spikes or needles.

that may sound like common sense but you would be surprised.

my final opinion: pothos is the best choice.

no problem. also, i just keep my plants in their own pots. that way when i clean the tank i can just take the plants/pots out without disturbing them. be warned though, the geckos love to poop in places where they feel safe (in the plants). i suspect its actually good for the plants, but you will probably need to pick poop out of the plants every now and then.

I keep haworthia, jade and dracaena in my AFT tank and they are doing well. I made a couple of tries at an african violet which looked great, but the crickets ate it.
