Black Pearls

I know I'm not much of one to post in the leo section, and am openly against many morphs (mainly raptors and eclipses), but.......

Who's seen TUG's new Black Pearl morph? Those things are stunning. Definitely not worth the $3K they're asking, but wicked cool none the less. I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna wait 5 years and just pick some up at my local petco

WOW!

Go figure TUG would wind up with those, just one of those things having BANK will get ya!

Totally agree with you one the petco statement: These will be the next blizzards.

I can already hear the leopard gecko breeders screaming like fifth-graders at a Backstreet boys concert

In all seriousnes though, Im glad they are in N. America now, and cant wait to see what happens next.

I don't get what the point in crossing them with other traits would be. Wouldn't it be kinda pointless? Cross them to an albino and get a white gecko with red eyes, well, aren't there already like 5 ways to do that?

I just wonder what they really look like against a lighter colored backround, and not against that black backround??

What are your reasons for being against RAPTORs and Eclipses?

I'm not especially impressed by what I have seen of the Black Pearls thus far. I'll get interested when/if the color is bred to be more uniform and normally taken/staged photos are commonplace.

I think they should breed a green leo. Lol. That'd be funny. I'd name it Hurly.

Ron Tremper has already supposedly done this. It's called the "Emerine" morph. They aren't very green looking IMO. But Ron seems to think they are. As far as I can tell, the only real green involved with this morph is the green flying out of your pocket to purchase one! Doh!

I'm not too into Leos but I actually really like them. I will also be waiting til they are pet store price however, haha. Might have to wait a few years but that is something I would add to my collection.:p

I was talking about taking that "emerine" I saw online, which doesn't look too green, and making it ALL green. Haha.

More than likely crossing a black gecko with the albino strains would create lavender/brown geckos, depending on the strain.

I think albinos are cool. But sometimes it seems like ur messing with mother nature when u get into breeding animals that have apparent neurlogical issues just cause they look pretty ie circle walking in enigmas
