First 2009 laticauda laticauda hatch

I was misting my tanks this morning and I went to check on the clutches that I have cooking. My first laticauda laticauda clutch of 2009 has hatched! One was already out perusing the inside of the container and the other was still working its way out of the shell, tail first. I just called home and my daughter has confirmed that the other is now out and doing just as well. I will try to post some images tonight.

I have finally separated them and moved them from their hatch chamber. As I was transferring them, I fed each one a tiny bit of Repashy mix from the tip of my finger. Since last year's program began, it has been a little tradition of mine to feed each of my noenates their first meal(apart from the yolk sack) by hand. I am posting more pics.

I have an adult female and 3 juvies ( well ... they're almost adults now ) that I need to sex and hopefully pair up this season. How did you get the eggs to the incubator??

Nice looking hathclings. They look bigger than I remember them being.

Dave You can just pick the eggs up and move them into the incubator. As long as you don't roll them around to much.

Are the eggs not GLUED to the sides of something .... bamboo, plants, glass etc.? My adult female has laid a few infertile eggs that were either on the glass or snake plant.

Most of the time, the eggs are laid into oviposition as a non-glued clutch. However, I have had clutches from my same laticauda pair #1 female that were glued inside the leaves of sansevieria. I found out the hard way that they were glued.
