Gravid female Phelsuma klemmeri

I just acquired a gravid female Phelsuma klemmeri about 1 1/2 weeks ago and have been anxiously anticipating her to lay her first clutch. She has been kind of elusive the first 7-10 days and I finally was able to see her out and about today. To top it off I was able to get some pretty good shots of her very gravid belly with my wife's camera! She has some very visible veins that, to me, look very cool.
Let me know what you think.

Happy Easter...

PS. Thanks Preston. She's doing great!

Wow, that is one big preggo. I've heard people say that you can see the eggs through the belly sometimes, but on my grandis I never have.
Beautiful klemmeri you have there. Hope everything turns out well.

Thanks,

She ended up laying the eggs the very next day. I have since placed them in the incubator with fingers crossed. She is now with her new mate and hopefully continuing to produce through the breeding season.

Thanks for the specs. What temps do you usually incubate the clutches at? Also, do you get an even m:f ratio?

I usually incubate at around 82 degrees and get a decent ratio. I use to go at 84 degrees for male heavy.

Take care,

Awesome!

Glad to hear she is doing well! Thanks for the shout out Just had six new ones hatch out this last week so we are on a roll, they all incubated pretty long 55-59 days at 80.
Best of luck.
