On Tuesday I was cleaning out the baby gecko rack and everything went fine but when I got to the last tub with Tempest in it, I went to move her and she squirmed a bit more then she normly would and I was afraid I would drop her and so I quicly put her into the clean tub I had sitting out for her. After I put her down i noticed she was walking funny, like one of her back legs was wobbly. now its been a few days and she seems to be a little better, still eating and pooing..but still walking to weird for my liking. So i took a video of it. I don't think its broken, but perhaps the knee is out of the socket?

I feel really bad but I truly don't remember hitting or leg or anything like that. She gets dusted crickets and mealworms daily and this only started after I changed her tub on Tuesday.

To me it looks like her fibula and tibia have been dislocated at the knee, but that's just a guess. If her lower leg was dislocated, it's probably really painful for her to walk (same if she popped her knee socket). An experienced reptile vet should be able to just look at/feel her leg to tell if it's broken/dislocated, and either pop the bones back in where they go, or splint it if something's broken. At the very least, maybe some pain meds. Poor baby, I hope everything turns out to be ok!
And it doesn't look like mbd at all.

Awww poor baby!!!

It looks really wobbly, and I know when my ankle acts up I get wobbly. So it looks just like a dislocation. A vet can easily pop it back into place. Try not to let her walk. If that's even possible. It must be in pain. =[[

Its just been one of those weeks I think. One of our dogs just got out of emergency surgery because she had an infection in her uterus, and we are just waiting to go pick her up so instead of taking the leo and spending probably like $150 we ended up spending over $700 at the vets today. On the bright side, Tempest is walking MUCH better today so perhaps it was just a pulled muscle or something like that after all. I looked in on her this morning and changed her paper, gave her 5 crickets and even as I type she is stalking one in her tub. Watching her go after her food she is a tiny bit wobbly but i think within a few more days it should be back to normal. If its not perfectly normal by Monday I will call my bird/reptile vet and make an appointment. My dogs and cats see a different vet then my reptiles and ferrets.

Wow, sorry to hear about your dog. I know how it is when something like that happens- my pug Frodo came with Parvo when I got him, and was in the vet's for 3 days. He's lucky to have survived, and me too considering it cost $600. I hope you pup is ok, and it's good to hear the leo is walking better! Keep us posted.

I hate dogs. Lol. I'll never own one. Plus I'm allergic. I'm a cat and gecko person. =]

I'm happy to hear the baby's doing better! Hopefully it can fix itself.

the doggy is ok, she is a 13year old rat terrer who should have been spayed a LONG time ago but never was..all the other dogs are fixed though. I pesonaly have 1 dog, 1 cat, 9leopard geckos, 1 bearded dragon, 3 ferrets and a fish.but in the house we have 2 more dogs and 2 more cats that are kind of co-owned.
As to Tempest, I have her sitting in front of me inside her tub and shes not 100% but just about. even when i posted the video it had been MUCH worse on Tuesday when it had happened then it was by Friday when I took and posted that video. plus I think she even shed between then and now and didn't have any problems getting the skin off the leg and toes. So I thinkshe is going to do just fine:)

My little Iggy's leg looked like that after the cat attack. It still bends funny but its due to ligament and tendon damage done to that leg. Her leg was practically severed and now she has full use of it thanks to my amazing vet and 4 very long months of re-hab, pain killers and antibiotics. She can safely say she survived a cat attack!

Ouch that poor leo!
no this was my fault-or has to be. I still cannot remember grabing her leg or anything but there is nothing in her tub but a hide, waterdish and petri dish for meal worms...o and a bottle cap with calcium in it. to be safe I have moved all her cage items to the center with space between each so she cannot get pinched or anything.

Iggys accident was my fault also I was so distraught when I thought I was gonna lose her. I didn't put a lid on the tank that night and my kitty got ahold of her, she dropped her tail, severly lacerated both front and back right legs and scratched her up bad. Of course this was on a saturday night at 12am and I could not get ahold of a reptile vet anywhere!! Sunday none where open so she went 1 day without painkillers before I could get her treated. My vet only gave he a 10% chance of living but here she is today. The 1st pic is about 1 1/2 months after the attack, she has silvadine(?) cream on her legs to keep it from becoming infected. And the 2nd was taken 5 months after the attack. She is quite a spunky little girl and is very goofy!
