As the title says, i've got the chance of a lifetime to get some mossys at a good price, wondering if anyone could point me tords some good information sites or any information you might have to give ?

Also pictures of your mossy tanks would be great! if you could share them with me!!?

Also thinking about getting Satanic leaf tailed geckos as well... So pictures of their tanks would be great too! I've been provided an awesome information site about those already!

Thank you guys! :)

Here's a thread with some pictures of a phant enclosure and suggestions from other members on plants and how to generally improve it:

Here are some interesting threads on U. sikorae and their captive husbandry:

http://www.geckosunlimited.com/comm...tus/39729-my-uroplatus-sikorae-enclosure.html (about enclosures - this one kind of shows what not to do for an enclosure and has some other helpful info included)
http://www.geckosunlimited.com/comm...se-drippers-increase-humidity-their-uros.html (about drippers)
http://www.geckosunlimited.com/comm...roplatus/39537-breeding-u-sikorae-female.html (about breeding and feeding)
http://www.geckosunlimited.com/comm...platus-sikorae-questions-looking-answers.html (enclosure size)
http://www.geckosunlimited.com/comm...os-uroplatus/33309-1-1-u-sikorae-sameiti.html (about U. sikorae sikorae vs. U. sikorae sameiti)

Just use the search button to find more info on them. :)

Hi,
I don't know if I'm misreading but mossys (U. sikorae) are not the best jump if you've only kept cresteds or other beginner geckos before.

I've desided against getting myself them right now, i'm going for a pair of Gargoyle Gecko's insted.

I'll get mossy's later on down the line.

Thanks for all the help guys!

I disagree. So long as one is diligent and does proper research and makes a concentrated effort into getting the info needed to properly care for the animal in question - and knows the level of dedication required - then I see no reason why one couldn't make the jump from cresties to mossies.

Case in point... I had previously only kept crested and gargoyle geckos and have now been keeping mossies for nearly half a year without any issues. I also know someone whose first snake was an emerald tree boa (another arguably "difficult" reptile). It's all situational.

We'll have to agree to disagree then as I wouldn't advise it as there are a lot of variables. CB or WC etc etc. There are better 'starter' Uroplatus.
