I went to the local pet store and came across a good deal on a 40 gallon breeder. Only thing keeping me from getting this is the question of whether or not I should put my male and female together in one tank. I'm not worried about babies as I have already planned on breeding them eventually, but I am worried about the health of both of them. I dont want him to stress her out by trying to over breed, especially when she is only 7-8 months old. both are over 50 grams, but as i said, im concerned about her age. With it being a 40 gallon, as long as I have 2 of every hide, they should be fine together right?

Two geckos in one terrarium

Another thing you could do is get one or two more females to divert the male's sexual urges. The more females he can visit, the less attention he can give to each female. Allee was right, if you put your male in with just one female, he will constantly try to mate with her. You either need to divert his attention or divide the tank, as Allee suggested. Or you could always just get another tank. 10 & 15 gallon tanks are cheap if you can find them in thrift stores.

A cereal box, or two, work GREAT for a divider. If I lay my cereal box on it's side in my 20 long, it fits really snug and doesn't move.

I love being creative. Haha.
