My gecko likes his cool hide?

Is it unusual for my leo to ALWAYS stay in and favor his cool side? He has a cool hide and humid hide. During the day he stays in his cool hide constantly unless hes wandering around. However, the little hut i used for his cool hide used to be a warm hide but recently switched it to a cool hide. Could he just like this hut that is now his cool hide? Or maybe he does not like the moss in his humid hide? Even when he was shedding he staying in the cool hide, so i had to move the damp moss into the cool hide to help him out. any help? or is he just weird

Hes probably just using it for a hide in general, either that or if you had it in before the other humid hide he just favors that one and uses it maybe switch them around if you want him to get heat and see if thats whats the deal.

Maybe it would help if you had 3 hides, one hot, one humid and one cool?
Either way sounds normal to me, my guy also stays in his cool hide all day He'll settle down at around 6am before waking up and moving to the hot side in the evening so I wouldn't worry! As long as he's eating and digesting his food fine, there's no problem

does he move to the warm(humid) hide after eating? because mine are kinda like that too but they move after eating and when shedding

No matter where I put this strawberry shaped hide, they both squeeze in it together. Cool side, middle, or hot side. So just try moving the hide over to the warm side as suggested previously.

ya i cleaned his tank today and switched the sides and he keeps going to his coconut shell thanks all
