Rarest Leopard Geckos...

I am pretty sure that photo you took of the second one is a "Jungle morph"... ;)

Do you say it's a jungle morph due to the patterning by its neck (it does a swirly thing instead of being banded like the rest of the body)?
If so, that is common of normals. Or so I've read.
Correct me if I'm wrong, though, please.

good luck with you're clean babies.
i've been lucky to be able to breed from wildcaught lines, so i can breed my own F1. and last few years i even sold some F1 to some good breeders in the States.
so my advice, keep them clean, but don't inbreed them, these probable are related, so try to get an old line, from as far away from them as you can.
i started my bloodlines from 2 wildcaughtgroups, wich i handpicked from a shipment, the day after they arrived.
and was smart enough to pick extra males, so now i can breed the babies from both groups, with unrelated males.
i also breed with the fasciolates, and also sold some F1 to the states, but kept most of them for myself, while they did some amazing stuff with them, same goes for the afghanicus
i do this with al the gecko species that i breed, even with the fattails, i breed CB X wildcaught, and the same goes for the paroedura picta. and some other species.
i also do the colourmorphs, but my basics are simple, keep track of your lines, and try to keep them unrelated.

My girl Jewel is 100% pure and I just love her. She's a rescue and we put her age at about 8-10 years old. She's beautiful and quite a little diva,if I could breed her I would but she had MBD before I got her and I wont put her through that. You can see her front arms are bent from the MBD in the pics. She is on the smaller side only about 45 grams even though she eats like a piggie, she's shorter than the others as well.

Pure sub species and pure WC lines are indeed the rarest of the leopard geckos out there. Those look great and I'd love to see progress images as they age.

He he, nice! I love normals, and I get frustrated at how they are ignored in favor of neon ones these days :( I do like the "toned down" neon ones though, like super hypo tangs (i've got one!) and I like jungles-- As long as they have spots they're mine! ;D

It's most likely not the same (though I'm sure it's cute!).
I'm pretty sure Ethan's are normals het for nothing.
A REAL rarity now-a-days.

I have normal/high yellows het for nothing.
Only because I'm lucky.
Well, I think I am anyway.

HAhah. Leopard geckos were captive breed for over 30 years. So all of the geckos we buy comes from parents that were captive breed. That change the Genetic alot. There is many morphs right now because of selective breeding. They choose the geckos they want to breed together, And they can create colors , patterns , Etc.
What you have is a Simple NORMAL leopard gecko. The most common one.
They are fairly cheap everywhere but DO NOT cary wild genetic.
What RR have is a gecko that was born from 2 Wild caught leopard geckos.
So the Genetic is intact, True wild type. They may look the same ( same color , Pattern everything ), But the genes are not.
Thats why is is considered a Rare Leopard gecko, There are not many wild leo imported anymore ( If not at all ).

Just to clarify the situation one of the potential mothers could possibly be WC. She was given to me by a college friend who bought her as an adult from a specialty pet store. I only speculate that she may be WC because my friend said that all of the adults were housed together and they all looked to be in bad shape. Also, as far as coloration goes she is definitely one of the plainest leopard geckos that I have ever seen, looking like many of the individuals that are pictured in the wild. In addition her temperment has always been nervous. So who knows. The rest however are definitely CB.

The thing that is really rare/special about these babies is that their parents were born prior to there being any morphs on the market. That means that they are guaranteed to not have any designer genetics at all. There are many "normal" leopard geckos out there. But the majority of them have at least some relation in their family tree that was a mutation...even if they're not showing or carrying a mutation.
