G'day mates,

New to the forum so i thought i would say HI, I just got into geckos for the first time in my 10 years of keeping reptiles. I currently have a young pair of recently acquired N.L.Pilbarensis and I'm hoping to breed them in a couple of years. I also have a P.vitticeps and a T.r.aspera in my collection.

Cheers,

Welcome to GU!

You have many cool geckos down your way. Currently I am breeding Oedura castelnaui (northern velvets).

Post some snapshots if you can. We all love gecko pictures!!

Thanks for the welcome Elizabeth, I love the Oeduras. I may try my hand at O.mamoratas down the track if all goes well with my N.L.Pilbarensis. These are my first geckos so I'll see how i go with them first.

I'll post the pics maybe tomorrow if they come out and play tonight so look for them in the Knob tail section.

Cheers,

Hi red-ink ~

Oedura castelnaui are quite easy to keep! I wish that I could send you some. :yahoo: I have ten adults from various USA breeders and actually about 10 "virgins" from 2007 and 2008.

Can you get Oedura marmorata in your neighborhood?

Yep they are quite easy to find around here, same breeder that i got the pilbs from offered me his WA locality marmoratas but i was'nt ready for another project just yet.

Geographically no, I live in Melbourne so the only ones around in the neighbouhood i have seen wild are Diplodactylus intermedius, vitatus as well as U.milli.

Cheers,
