A little diet help for my Leo please? :)

Well, Cowboy is doing well, he's certainly getting BIGGER! I looked at the pic I posted when I first got him and he's gained a few inches and now has a big fat tail that he lugs all around the cage with him. (see newest picture)

However - I'm hoping someone can help with this question. When I began posting shortly after I got him (about 3 mos ago?) he was a very picky eater. Turned his nose up at crickets but loved mealworms and waxworms. He is now about 7 and a half inches long and suddenly he doesn't want to eat every day anymore. (up until a week or so ago, he would eat 10-12 crx a night and 5-6 mealworms) Now he's eating maybe 2-3 crix every other day and 1-2 mealworms every other day. Is that normal?? He poops usually every day, although sometimes misses a day or two. Temps are low 90's on the warm side, mid 70's on the cool.

I read that as adults, they don't eat daily, but I assumed he was still a Juvie...I think he's about 7-8 mos old. Maybe a little more.

Thanks in advance!

Tami

Im also no expert, but I have had my leo for about 4 years, and they mature at 6-8months old. So ya they will be eating about 2-3 times a week and depends on quantity or type of food. I feed mine crks and worms also but i might be switching to roaches.

thanks for the response...I actually posted the question in the Leopard Gecko section too, and got allot of great help. Seems as if my "baby" might be growing up and requiring less food. Good luck with the roaches.
