Taquiq has not been eating lately. The temps are great 97 UTH 85 middle 73 cool side. SHe has stopped eating I am feeding mealworms. Her tail is still fat, it doen't look like she's loosing weight. She stopped 10/30/09 and is completley ignoring the food.

It's only been a few days, I wouldn't be worried..

Adults/near adults appetites tend to slack off. I have a male who only eats once or twice a week and he is 83g.

If she starts dropping weight, acting strangely, etc then be concerned. If not, chalk it up to leo antics.

4 days isnt anything to worry about. Ive had females go off feed for upwards of 3 weeks with out losing a a gram, then continue to feed.

It's also getting toward winter time where they tend to not eat as much anyway. They tend to sleep a lot more during the winter time and don't need to eat as much. As long as she is healthy then I wouldn't concern yourself with it. Just keep food available.

Also, have you tried using different types of feeders? I have almost no problems anymore with having geckos stop eating anymore, now that I use many different things. Try crickets, roaches, silkworms, hornworms, a pinky every now and then if you want... if you vary their diet, you will most likely have better results at feeding time.

I have a female that i acquired from another keeper. She ate the first night I had her but since then (2 weeks) she has ate very little. I have been bowl feeding to watch intake and it usually just a cricket here or there. I have tried meal/superworms and silkworms and nothing has stimulated her appetite. I think it is partly to do with the change and that from what I read they can all do this especially females. When i read that some can go on 1-2 month ovulation hunger strikes I am not too worried yet. She still has a nice fat tail and hasn't lost any weight yet. Plus I noticed today that she is going to shed so I am going to give it a little longer before i start to get worried. It is hard to compare her to my male who eats constantly it seems.

If she continues to not eat then you might want to giver her treat like waxworm just to get the appetite up. Also you should take out the crickets if she isn't eating them.
