regurgitated?

Hi,

I think one of my amyae's has been regurgitating its food. I have found 2 or 3 poo-like things that basically look like dead crickets clumped together and covered in mucus. I'm not sure as I know sometimes they don't fully digest their food before pooing it but this look way to undigested to be a poo. Anyone experienced anything like this before? She has gotten rather skinny since this started so I am getting worried.

edit: it also smells worse than your average poo and it probably too big to be a poo. Cylinder shape roughly 5cm long and 2cm in diameter.

That don't has to be a bad sign. I have seen it twice before. My U. milii did the same after I bought them and my amyae hatchlings did it. It can be caused by too fast and too much eating. I have seen it only once at both of them and after that never again. How often do you feed a week? Try to feed more often but less crickets. It looks like a mass of medium crickets!?

Ontop of what F4 said above, double check your tempeatures, could be the enclosure is too cold and the gecko is only partially digesting its food.

Also couldn't hurt to get a fecal exam done.

I also happened to me with a wheeleri,
I think this was the prey that were too big.
average hours administer crickets and no problem.

Theres not as many crickets as it seems, it wasn't quite a solid mass of them. They were medium crickets because the shop had ran out of adults. There was probably 8 or so medium crickets in there.

I checked the temperatures and there normal.

Hope it doesn't happen again but this is the 3rd time it has happened so i was getting a little concerned.

I think everyone who has responded so far is right. That's caused by the gecko eating too many crickets too fast. It's probably not great for the gecko, but it isn't very detrimental as long as it doesn't happen frequently No need to worry just feed a couple fewer next time.

i have experienced that with leopardgeckos several times.
when it happened it was from an annimal wich eat verry much verry quickly .
it never gave any further problems.
probably more feeding with less food could be solution.
