It’s time once again for the Kalamazoo Reptile & Exotic Animal Expo. The show is this Saturday, December 12, from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds. This will be your last opportunity before Christmas to pick up your animal related gifts and, of course, don’t forget to buy your special pet a Christmas present, too!
Some of the animals that you can expect to see at the expo are: colorful bearded dragons, leopard geckos, pythons, cornsnakes, milksnakes, dart frogs, newts, salamanders, tortoises, tarantulas, chinchillas, hedgehogs, sugar gliders and much more. You will also find live crickets, wax worms, mealworms, hornworms, phoenix worms and live and frozen rodents. You can pick up all the supplies you need for your pets’ home as well, such as heaters, UV lights, heat lights, thermometers and handmade hides. Of course, don’t forget to grab some Wisconsin sausage or jerky to snack on while you’re shopping.
We also have a couple specials going on this month. The first 50 people through the door will receive a free 2010 Herp Heads Calendar. We will also have 8 free tanks that will be given away with the purchase of an animal from any vendor at the show. Finally, we will be having another drawing for 2 free family passes to the Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary in Athens, MI (Alligator Sanctuary ). We also continue to offer a certificate for a free vet exam for every animal purchased at the show.
