Hi it's been awhile so I thought I'd update everyone on my overweight female blizzard. She weighed 83 grams about 3 weeks ago as of today she now weighs 72 grams.By cutting out mealies and feeding only roaches every 3 days she's lost 11 grams. She comes out of her cage for 15-20 min to exercise and now she's not as husky as previously. Thanks to everyone on the tips and I'll post some pics soon.:D

I've had my gecko since January 08 and he was only a couple weeks old. So In january he will be a year in about 5 months. He is a little over 8 inches and he weighs 60 grams. He seems to look like other geckos, but most leopard geckos weigh in the 50's. PS: I don't feed crickets just superworms.

Well supers are like candy. High in fat is not good for any animal. Like many have said it's like feeding your child only candy and ice cream. Keeping your Leo on Only superworms you are going
To have issues with obesity like you are, and then your animal will
Die young of fatty liver disease. Supers are not a good staple for any animal, crix or roaches are the best staples. Every once in awhile the worms are ok but I don't use them at all. I have yearlings that are 30g-40g so I'd think an almost yr old being 60g is a little chunky. Since you have fed him Only on supers you should switch him over to only crix to get some good protein into him, and drop all worms all together.
