Breeding Elaphe Schrenckii

Hi guys,

Has anybody of you success with breeding elaphe schrenckii? How important is hibernation period for males? If they do not hibernate in proper temperature are they still fertile? I ask this because i heard that if male do not hibernate in proper temperature their sperm is not fertile :/

you shall hibernate both for this species, male and female.
they are easy to breed but need hibernation for ~ 2 months.

Hi Mikhail,

I hibernate mine from mid october until first half of februar, and result is in picture
I start to wakening them slowly, give them 2-3 nice meals and voila

PS: Yes he's in shed, but this doesn't have any affect to his sexual behavior
