so i want to be able to get embers from breeding. Am i correct that i will need a raptor male or female and a patternless tremper albino male or female to get embers? I also want to be able to get sunglows i know i need a shtcb but i dont know what the other one has to be. If anyone can help me with this i would appreciate any info i can get.

Thanks

A suglow is a SHTCTB albino. The SHTCTB needs to be het for albino.
SHTCTB het Tremper x Sunglow
SHTCTB het Tremper x SHTCTB het Tremper
Are your options.

An ember is a murphy's patternless RAPTOR, just about. RAPTOR x Murphy's will make all hets. If you're working from just two pairs these are a couple options.
RAPTOR x Murphy's tremper het eclipse (They're out there, rare to find.)
RAPTOR x Murphy's
RAPTOR x Normal het Murphy's & Tremper
RAPTOR x Murphy's tremper het RAPTOR
I would suggest, personally, getting a couple RAPTOR females and a Murphy's Patternless Tremper. Breeding them together, making hets for the following year.

the fastest way to get sunglows is to breed a pair of sunglows outright. just make sure they are the same albino strain. since the shtctb genes are polygenic, and both parents are already albino, this gives you the highest probability of hatching out sunglows. i think sunglows are fairly common, you shouldn't have any trouble finding them.

i wish you luck with the ember project!

it is true i can find sunglows everywhere i just kind of wanted the satisfaction of breeding my own. :) i guess that is the part wanting to do it myself instead of just getting a pair and breeding them.

if you want to do things on your own, why not start with wild type normals that are het for nothing? LOL! you have a point, but you did not say that earlier. it's all really up to you, just giving you tips on the most practical way.
