G'day guys,

Just out of curiousity, what's the going rate for mamoratas in the US. You don't see many of them around over there. Is it the price that keep people away?

that seems to be a fair rate, I'd say a reasonable price for a young adult pair would be about $500+

They were $350 each adult when I started keeping them back in 2007...

$250-300ea for hatchlings when I started back in '06. Oedura have really lost a lot of their cash value in the last few years with the economy. I personally think they haven't lost any real value at all though :)

They've lost their "value" because people are impatient and halved the going rate despite numbers in the U.S. basically staying the same over the last 5 years. I'm in the market for a nice '09 male (eastern form) myself. Time for a popularity swing in these velvet geckos. Who's in ?!

Amen to that brother! Oedura are one of my favorite groups of geckos to work with. Unfortunately Aussies have decreased in popularity and price due to both the economy and the trend of New Cal geckos.

I think we'll see an upswing of popularity in these wonderful geckos in the near future.
