Crested gecko eggs...

I have 4 crested gecko's housed together in a 55gal tank. 3 females and 1 male. My females are 1 ghost pin flame, green harlequin, and a double pin tan (is the best way I can explain her). The Male is a tiger.

The other night my flame and harlequin were acting funny. I didn’t pay it much mind and went to bed. I woke up the next day and went to work. 24hrs later they were back to acting normal. I investigated the tank. I found 2 eggs were my harlequin was and non where my flame was. So I started pulling up the moss in my tank looking for more eggs. I found 2 more. So I have 4 eggs and I’m kind of excited. I have hatched leopard gecko eggs but not sure about crested gecko eggs. Right now I have them in a glad ware container with moist vermiculite. I’m keeping them at about 70 degrees. What do you suggest?

send them to me and ill take care of them jk but i do want two geckos one male and one female so they can make babies!!!

Just be sure to monitor them to make sure they stay damp, but never mist the eggs directly. Open the lid of the container once a week to change in the air in the container, don't leave it off though. Also make sure that your females are getting enough calcium so there is no risk for a calcium crash!

If you have a small LED light, or a small bright light of some sort you should be able to candlee them to see if they are fertile or not. Incubating at 70 will also give you a longer incubation time, but no worries, longer incubations result in larger, healthier babies! Good luck with your eggs, keep us updated!

I feed them dusted crickets. They are dusted with Repti Calcium with D3. should i pull my femals away from my male for a little bit?

Do you feed anything else other than dusted crickets?


If there is no fighting going on, then you shouldn't need to seperate them. Just make sure you keep an eye on the weight of your females. If you notice them loosing too much weight, then start seperating them but for now if there are no problems you should be fine to leave them together.

I also give them crested gecko food. Honestly they don’t look any different. There both still healthy looking. My flame is showing some ribs but no more then normal. Its kind of weird even when she’s fat you can see her ribs. There in a 55 I have never seen any aggression or anything.

im thinking about building an incubator. hopefully next year ill have cresties and levis levis..
