This juvenile was roduced by Preston Garbett and hatched on 9/24/09. I am guessing it is a female. What do you think?

Looks like a potential male. Slight coloration on the preanofemoral pores which appear to be getting enlarged. Just my observation.

I too noticed the coloration and the enlargement of the pores, but didn't think it significant. Thank you for your input and keener eyes.

I doubted myself after my encounter with my Phelsuma standingi last year. I purchased three hatchlings in 2008 and they all turned out to be female (which I initially "refused' to believe). I finally sold one and picked up two males to establish two pairs for the 2010 season.

Thank you for your help.

Klemmeri females are different from other Phelsuma as they will show no pore markings or enlargement really. So if you see any yellowing marking or spots in the pores it is most deffinatly male ;-)
