Leo 'Yawning'?

My Leo opens its mouth and appears to be yawning... Is this a defense mechanism and/or is this normal behavior?

It's normal. They also sneeze if they're sick.

Yep, it is well cute
I hardly ever see mine doing it. They lick their eyes, which everyone in my house thinks is gross for some reason :S

It's called a "Death Yawn". They usually do it right before they're getting ready to spit venom.

Yeah I had a neighbour blinded by leopard gecko venom. Was horrible.
