Mixing Standings and Giant Day Gecko

Does anyone know if Standings Day geckos can be housed with Mad Day geckos? I believe I have two Mad Day geckos, I had to separate them as I think they are both female and the largest is fighting with the smaller one. I am thinking of putting the smaller Mad day gecko in with a Standings Day female, about the same size. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

it would not be a good idea. Standingi like it very hot and dry, where grandis appreciate a more tropical humid setup. Also it is never good to mix species of phelsuma except in pairs because of territorial issues. Go out and get another cheap tank temporarily. Do not house them together it will cause problems. but do seperate the two grandis is they are fighting :banana:

My 2 female gold dusts were fighting as well, Would you have to keep the two separated forever?

You just might have to. It comes down to the individual animals but gold dust can be particularly aggressive. You might try a larger set up with separate basking and feeding stations along with visual barriers which could help.

Yeah, my two grandis had plenty of room, multiple feeding stations and plenty of foliage cover and it took them 24 hours to figure out that the most dominant female would still not be friendly.
