info please!! do i rinse repti sand b4 using it

hi i have some repti sand (black) i mixxed it with repti moss and put it in the tank but i noticed after i set the tank up that i had black power on my hands, do i need 2 rinse the sand b4 using it??? im picking up my first gecko (milii) 2marrow and i want everthing perfect for her when she gets here, thanks again every1

i just dumped out the repti sand it looks like broken black glass under a 30x scope!! it cant be good 4 a gecko!! should i go with a liner only?
