gecko licking vent area

My gecko has just gotten up from a nap, eaten a cricket, then, as he was walking to a warm spot, stop to raise his tail, turn around and lick his vent area. It seemed almost like it opened, like the skin moved, and then I saw a two clear droplets, one from each side, come out. It happened a few times, each time he reached around and licked it away. What could this be??

I thought a gecko would be an 'easy' pet, but from stories I've read in here, they can have soo many things go wrong. I just hope I'm being concerned over something that is actually normal behaviour, but I can't find anything out on the internet about it. No matter how I google it. ;)

it was horny
those droplets are gecko sperm(EWWWWW)
it might have been aroused, do you keep any females, when you might have handled one and then your male he could have gotten aroused by smell(he smell girl)

Ewwwwwwwww... Really??? OMG!!! No, I have no other geckos and he's only about three months old. Or, so I was told at the pet store. And I'm the only girl in the house, lol. He's way out of my league. ;) lol lol

Just throwing this out there i usually handle one of my females before I ever handle my male and he's never done that.

It could also be his pores excreting liquid to mark his territory.

I have had even females lick their bums. Just like any dog or cat would.

Thanks all, for the responses. I'll try not to worry about him so much. New-ish mother, what can I say? ;) He's eating really well, and tolerating me picking him up and having my hands in and out of his habitat. He's associating me with dinner. :) Just weighed him, again, 24 grams. He DID just eat a whack of crickets, though, I'm sure they're adding to his weight. lol
