gecko ate a centipede.. bad?

is it going to be harmful to my leopard gecko if he just chased down a house centipede (thousand leggar) and ate it?

well i was playing with him on the floor and it came scurrying out near him and he just went after it and snatched it up

That must have been fascinating to watch. Centipedes eat lots of other insects so they are probably a good source of protein. Unless the centipede bit him I would think he'll be fine. But I'm a new gecko owner so I'll see what others have to say.

i doubt that its harmful but house centipedes do have a mild venom and im not sure as to whether or not that will have any affect since he ate it. It was pretty cool though!

I would keep an eye on him for parasites. You don't feed wild insects because they can carry parasites.

If he starts regurgitating, having runny poo, and just lethargic, you need to take him to a vet asap.
