Heating Question

Quick question. I don't have a thermostat for my UTH. I just got a new carpet substrate and it's pretty thick so my temps are hovering between 81 F and 86 F. I know this is too low and I want to get it up to about 90, but if I get a thermostat and set it to that temp, will it overheat the UTH? Basically, can I set my UTH to higher than it goes naturally or will it break? Thanks :)

I don't think you can. If it's plugged directly into the wall, a 3 watt UTH (an example) will never go higher than 3 watts, meaning it'll never get hotter than the 3 watts will allow.

I may be wrong though.
