Breeding Questions?

Hiya, i have a few questions about breeding. If and only if i decide to get another crested gecko.

Is it possible to keep just a male and female together? i've heard that it's better to put 1 male with 2 females? can i leave them together all year or would i ahve to separate them throughout the year?

What is the temperature for males and females and also which temperatures should not be went over or went under.

Any rules? (ovbiously no 2 males should be kept together.)

And any other tips or personal experience stories would be great :)

Normally the temp range is between 70-80 in summer and 64-70 in the winter for cool down. Humidity should be between a high of 80% down to 50%, you don't want a constant high humidity because it can cause mold in the enclosure and respiratory infection in the cresties. You can keep a 1.1 year round, some will separate them for the winter cool down...but you would need to watch the female to make sure she is not being to stress by the male. You would want to make sure that the male & female are close in weight to each other for best results.

Egg temps for incubation is usually between 68-78, the warmer the temp the quicker they will hatch. Temp do not affect the sex of cresties; so you may get all boys, all girls, or combination of both.

I keep mine separate when nonbreeding, just to give the girls a break. They are a very fun species to breed!
