Hey guys, tossing around the idea of getting some more small Phelsuma species. Currently keeping klemmeri, but might try to get another small species in the near future. Torn between nigristriata and robertmertensi.

What say ye?

robertmertensi, v-nigra comoraegrandensis, astriata semicarinata, astriata astriata, laticauda angularis, quadriocellata, laticauda laticauda, and if you can find them lineata chloroscelis. ALL so underrated. Great personalities and just great to share glances with. Check with Julie Bergman at Gecko Ranch, she should have you covered.

nigristriata! Only because I have these as well and I must say they are the friendliest geckos I have. Every time I open the door they are right there to watch what i am doing and even come over to lick my hand and check it out.

Robertmertensi- attractive, friendly and so endangered in the wild that the Germans won't even reveal their exact location:biggrin:

I love my klemmeri and that's why I'm wanting to get some other small Phelsuma. In the past I've mainly kept/am keeping the larger species: grandis, kochi, standingi, sundbergi sundbergi. I've also kept a few others like quad quads and guimbeaui.

Thank you all for your insight so far. Basically I'm looking for something that's going to be awesome like my klemmeri

Cepediana are on my list as well as a male guimbeaui and some barbonica ssp. later on this year or next year, but right now I only have space for maybe another small species.

Really leaning towards the nigristriata right now, though.
