Today i put my P. Cepediana pair together for another attempt to get them to get along. It seemed to go well and i think i saw them mate in the sanseveria plant but afterwards the male continued to pester the female. I'll monitor them closely for the next few days to see how it goes. It gave me a chance while watching them to take lots of photos so i thought id share a few

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I can't wait to get a male cepediana.

I wish I could acquire your male ornata, but I'm a bit far from you, unfortunately.

I hope you have some cepediana eggs soon!

Thanks. Sadly it seems to be very hard to get their 'true' colours accross in pictures. In real life their colours are so intense, especially on the second ornata male pictured. I managed to get a better picture of him out basking today. The picture is through dirty, water marked glass and his colours still look intense. I'll try upload the picture tomorrow ;)

Great pics, best of luck with them! I'm happy you're starting young with geckos, I did the same :)

Thank you. I've always found myself very interested in animals. I used to catch insects from as early as i could walk, and that slowly grew into a passion for reptiles ;)

My male cepediana has to be one of my very favourite geckos. Hes very bold and will pretty much ignore your presence unless of course he wants food!
Its a shame it is so hard for us to exchange reptiles between europe and the US as i think it would be a great thing for the hobby ;)
Fingers crossed that i'll have eggs!

Excellent photos. Your animals are beautiful!

Thank you very much ;)

Stunning geckos!! I am in love with the ornata!

Cheers. I also am rather fond of ornata. I absolutely love the second male pictured (not the one for sale) but he is a complete b*stard. He killed my female ornata who used to be my favourite gecko of all. She was the boldest phelsuma i have ever encountered and would even walk up your arm casually when i cleaned her viv out :D

Just an update on the cepediana. Today the male has still been following the female around and displaying to her at any opportunity which causes her to simply walk off, or squeak at him. He has occaisionally nipped her gently but no sign of real aggression. She has been out basking etc so hasn't been hiding in fear so i shall see how they do in the next few days ;)
