Reovirus/liquid in belly

I recently posted a thread telling how my baby leopard gecko was losing weight and wouldn't eat anything, and that i was now syringe force feeding him.
Over the past few days, I noticed his/her belly was totally empty looking - except that it wasn't flat looking, it looked a little plump. Also, what really scared me, was that it looked like ALL of his internal organs were pushed up towards the top! When i shone a light through him i saw a bunch of dark squished masses up in the top half of its body with a COMPLETELY clear (except for a few thin veins) lower section!
I searched and searched online and finally came across a few posts about people who experienced the same thing. One said when they took it to the vet who drained the geckos belly with a needle and they were told it was "Reovirus" and that their gecko didn't stand much of a chance. Another said they were able to drain the liquid on their own by gently squeezing it out. But I dont know if the geckos ever recovered/how long they lived after! =[
SO! I took another big step and decided to lightly squeeze my baby geckos belly and see if anything happed.. it did. I was so distraught when even by the lightest squeeze clear water-like liquid started dripping out! it came out of its "poop/pee hole" in big drops. I dont think I drained the whole belly, but I got about 6-8 drops out..
Im very scared and not sure what to do! I know I should take it to the vet (so it isnt necessary for anyone to tell me to do that. lol. I plan on it.)
But I want to know if ANYONE has EVER seen this before, treated this, or knows if there is a survival rate! If you ever went though this (no matter the outcome) please let me know anything you can!!
Thank you in advance!

Go to the vets. There's no "in home" thing for this, and even then if there was I'd advise against it.

Hi, I havent experianced this but my female laid eggs (infertile) about 2weeks ago and she is really struggling to put weight on and is very thin..Is this the virus that is affecting the leopard geckos

no. Some females just don't eat while ovulating. Keep offering her food. When she eats if she poo's a normal looking poo then she's fine. If it's runny then you need to take that poo sample to the vet for tests. Geckos stop eating for numerous reasons.

diehard2010, no Im quite positive that the issue your leo is experiencing is not the same that mine is going through. But im not totally sure if my leopard gecko has "reovirus"/ what exactly it is.
I cannot yet determine the sex of my baby gecko because its too young, so its definitely too young to produce eggs even if it is a female.
As for your gecko; its quite common for female leos to lose a lot of weight while gravid and right after they've laid their eggs. Many people suggest giving them 2-3 waxworms a week and/or a pinky mouse once a week until shes put her weight back on - in addition to her regular diet (typically crickets/mealworms). However their is some debate on feeding pinkies to leos, but personally I feel its safe and fine (especially if its a pre-killed one), but be sure your gecko is a full grown adult.

Allee Toler, Yes I do plan on going to the vet. Thank you for your opinion, but I really just want/need any information from anyone who has experienced this before and what they did/what the outcome of the situation was. If you have seen this before, I love to hear all you can tell me about that situation!
