Hey guys, I have a few questions on thermometers. I have one digital thermometer with a probe, and two of those stick to the side analog thermometers, now I have heard that the stick to the side ones are useless, but my question is do you guys keep two digital thermometers with probes, one for cool one for hot side? What do you guys do with the probe, as of now I have it under the first layer of paper towel, but I soon plan on buying slate tile, what would I do with it, just tape it down?

Don't need a thermometer for the cool side unless you live somewhere with extreme weather. Cool side should be room temperature so it should be fine for your leopard geckos as long as your room temp doesn't drop below 70. If it does, then you'll want to look into a ceramic heat lamp.
You want the digital probe to be laying on the surface where your leopard gecko lays on, right above the UTH where the hot spot is. That's the temperature you want to monitor and test. Once you get tile just lay it on the tile surface to test the tile temperature. You can tape it down, use a rock, use the existing hide to weight it down, etc..
