Yes, if shes impacted I dont think its by sand/substrate. But theres still the possibility if it is impacted its from its feeders exoskeletons.
However if shes pooping daily then shes not likely impacted.
But you need to know for sure if SHE is pooping daily....

Geckos can occasionally eat moss, so that is something that can kind of impact her. But bugs can occasionally impact the geckos as well.

I don't think you did answer this, but is she pooping?

impaction can still happen by the exoskeletons of mealworms and crickets. Its not as big a threat, but its still possible.

And you need to be sure about her pooping. If you have to, separate her from the other leo. That would be the best thing to do for now also because if she is sick you dont want the other leo catching it too. But ya, separate her so you can monitor her eating and pooping habits. If shes not pooping daily, then somethings up.

And how is she eating now? is she eating just waxworms still? or have you stopped that?

The number 1 thing I believe is to take her to a vet... if you dont, and something is wrong with her, you might not know till its too late. Think of it like a kid: if they werent eating right (or at all) and werent using the bathroom (or you werent sure) and they were looking really sluggish and seemed to be expanding rapidly, youd get them to the doctors right away. Its the same for a leo. If shes just gravid - great! But if its a more serious issue you shouldnt wait and let it get worse... =/

Have you separated her from the other gecko? You should do this to see if she is actually pooping. Also, until you rule out parasites or viruses you don't want to put your other gecko at risk.

Whoa whoa, until you can check and visually verify dont be so sure you have a male and a female. They definitely can both be females still. Because, like chickens (if you will), a leopard gecko can make and lay eggs without a male around. they simply wont be fertile. You'll have to candle them once they are laid to be sure. and if they are fertile (yes that means youd have a male and female) then youll need an incubator.

Next, if she is gravid and shes not eating and not pooping, thats not good. As I keep saying: take her to the vet. If shes pregnant she needs to be eating to keep er strength up. And even when they dont eat for a few days, they still typically poop somewhat regularly. And a diet of waxworms will not make for healthy babies.
Lastly, if she wont eat and wont poop, and is just getting bigger, her eggs could be bound. Thats bad too.
So, while I hope she just gravid and everything will work out fine, I completely believe you should take her to the vet for a checkup, just in case theres anything else at play thats causing her the lack of diet and regular bowel movements.

I still recommend a vet visit. What you are describing doesn't sound normal, even if she is gravid. If she is noticeably expanding daily something could be wrong. I would still quarantine her until you rule out parasites or disease, and it is also possible that she is egg bound. The vet would probably be the best idea at this point.

While I think a vet visit may still be in order. A few things youre saying makes sense to me. 1. You accidentally got a pair (possibly)
2. Female has been sluggish, hiding, not eating, and not wanting to be handled
3. She hasn't eaten in little over a week.

It sounds to me like you have a gravid female. And she's been gravid for little longer than a week. Probably more like 2 or a little over 2 weeks. Females right before laying will get sluggish, completely stop eating, be defensive, and I bet you'll see a ton of digging soon. Everywhere. Shell dig here there a little over there and then lay. She's not eating bc Thr eggs are taking up so much space in her belly. Totally normal.
If you can why don't you grab the possible male and stick a picture up here and I'm sure a few of us can tell you for sure. But if they are 2 years old he should def have a v of wax coming out of his pre anal pores. If you see that you've got a def male. And then the hemipenile bulges at the base of his tail are I'm sure noticeable.

But again bc I'm not there I cannot tell you for sure if she is gravid. If you are still un sure in ANY way please take her to the vet. Hope this helps.
