Hey all, been promising pictures for a few weeks and have finally got my camera up and running... So here we have a few photos of my Leo's, their set-up's and a few other bit's too
First up, this is (or was) the dining room
bottom left is my breeding females Lilly and Lulu, bottom right (the 4ft) are my two Beardies Ziggy & Stardust, the wooden viv on top has my two Berber Skinks, Brenda and Bashful Bob. The small glass terrarium you can barely see is how I gut load my adult locust for the beardies, then the larger one at the end is home to some anoles and a long tailed skink.
Here we have my two breeding females, Lilly & Lulu. I always keep an eye on their behaviour to one another, but it is amazing how well they get on
Yes that IS a heat rock, NO it is not thier primary source of heat. It is on a rheostat that is turned down to just over 85 degrees, the temp is monitored daily by an infra-red thermometer, I have used it for over a year this way and the temp has never fluctuated by more than a degree or two either way.
This is Star, my enigma... she's very special. Requires a fair amount of help with shedding but her feeding is improving
Star again
This is Leo, he was originally called Clio and sold to me as a female... then I found out she was in fact a he.. and nothing else came to mind at the time.. so Leo it is lol
This is where Star & Leo are housed, star has the smaller top one due to her syndrome. The Teddy bears on top are my Girlfriends by the way
Ziggy & Stardust.. young love lol!
And this is the set-up for the babies
4 tupperware containers, two snake mat's and a mat-stat.. simples!
Comments welcome but please guys, don't start a war over my use of a heat rock.. I know it's not reccomended, but it's my choice.. I'm using it as a secondary, therefore lower temperature heat source, and technology has advanced considerably since many "fried gecko" scare stories came about
