My Crested Gecko won't eat out of a bowl!

Hey guys and gals!

So my crested gecko's been fine, making droppings and eating quite well. My only problem, however, is that the only time he'll eat is when I feed him from a spoon. I've tried getting a smaller bowl, like a bottle cap. I'm in the process of trying to get him to eat off of a small flat circle I cut out of a paper plate, but he just won't eat. Every time I've tried to get him used to a bowl or something with his CGD on it, he'll just walk right over it. Any ideas to wean him onto eating out of a bowl, or even the flat surface?

Thanks

Haha, I had this SAME exact issue with my gargoyle. You just gotta give 'em some tough love and wean them off. Don't give in to that cute little face! lol. I just cold turkey stopped hand feeding Phoebe and now she eats like a pig- out of her own bowl. :)

They won't starve themselves. So if you don't give in eventually they will start eating on their own. I thought mine never would, but now she does. Hope that helps. :)

My Crested won't starve you think? ;o

Edit: Well I did pick him up from the vet after leaving on a vacation for four days and he did use the bathroom so he must've eaten. I'll test that :)

Haha, alright thanks so much. I guess I'll keep the flat little circles until he can actually get into his bowl without spilling it.

Oh, I forgot to say-
You may not notice any of the food being gone. Especially if he's little he won't eat too much. But so long as you find poop you know he's eating.
